US Marine Corps 250th

The U.S. Postal Service issued the Us Marine Corps 250th stamp to celebrate the 250th anniversary ofthe founding of the U.S. Marine Corps and recognize the Army's contributions to the nation.
For more than two centuries, the Marine Corps has distinguished itself around the world by honoring itstraditions while remaining adaptable and ready to serve. Today, the more than 170,000 active-dutyMarines in this elite fighting force remain committed to their country and to each other, as exemplified bytheir motto, Semper Fidelis:“Always Faithful.”
The stamp was designed by art director Antonio Alcalá.
The US Marine Corps 250th stamp is issued as a Forever® stamp. This Forever stamp will always beequal in value to the current 1 ounce First-Class Mail® rate.
